All prices exclude VAT. If we are taking over a site we did not build, moving it across to us is free and the plan is rolling monthly with 30 days' notice, with no minimum term. The full detail of what is and is not included is in our maintenance terms.
On infrastructure we run ourselves in a London data centre, with SSL issued and renewed automatically. Each site is isolated from the others and has its own resource limits, so one busy site cannot slow yours down.
Your files and database are backed up every day and kept for 14 days, with a separate provider on separate infrastructure. Backups do not count towards your storage.
WordPress core, plugins and themes kept up to date. Core security releases go on automatically, and plugin and theme updates are checked for obvious breakage before being left in place.
A web application firewall, automated malware scanning, server-level intrusion detection and IP blocking, and your plugin and theme versions checked against known vulnerabilities.
If your site is compromised while your plan is active, we clean it up at no extra charge. More on what that covers below.
Each month, for small things like swapping an image, editing existing text or updating your contact details. Unused time does not roll over.
Our licences for Elementor Pro, Crocoblock (JetEngine, JetElements, JetSmartFilters, JetTabs) and Imagify, kept current for as long as your plan is active.
PHP 8.2 and 8.3, with settings set up for WordPress rather than left at the defaults that cause errors on larger sites. A cPanel login too, if you want one.
No hosting company or security product can promise a site will never be compromised. What we can promise is that if yours is, while your plan is active, fixing it is part of the plan and not a surprise invoice.
Cover applies to sites we host, where recommended updates have not been declined and every premium plugin and theme holds a current licence. It covers one cleanup in any rolling 12 months as standard. The terms set out the conditions in full.
Rebuilding a site that cannot be recovered from backup is quoted separately.
The plan keeps your site hosted, safe and up to date. Bigger changes are quoted or charged separately at £70 an hour, excluding VAT. That covers things like:
Email mailboxes are not part of the standard plan, and nor is bulk email sending. Your site's own notifications, like contact form enquiries, are sent through a dedicated relay so they arrive rather than landing in spam.
We clean up WordPress sites that are hosted elsewhere too. Once it is clean, you can move it to us on a plan and be covered from then on.
Only storage. Managed includes 10 GB and Managed Premium includes 25 GB. Everything else is identical. Most business websites use a small fraction of either, because it is media libraries that grow, not page content.
We keep an eye on usage and will get in touch before your site reaches its limit. If it needs more than your plan includes, you move up to Managed Premium. We never suspend a site or delete files without speaking to you first.
Yes. Hosting is part of the plan, and it is also what makes the malware cover possible. We will not cover a site hosted somewhere else, because we cannot protect infrastructure we do not run.
Yes, and moving it across to us is free when you join a plan. For a site we take over, the plan is rolling monthly: 30 days' notice to cancel and no minimum term. The one thing to know is that some sites built elsewhere use premium plugins or themes licensed to you rather than to us. Those licences stay yours to keep current, and we will tell you when one is due for renewal. If you would rather we held and managed a licence for you, ask us and we can usually do that.
No, and nobody can honestly promise that. Monitoring, updates and hardening cut the risk a long way, but they do not remove it. That is exactly why cleanup is included: if something does get through, fixing it is our job and not an extra bill.
We aim to start work on a suspected compromise within one working day of it being reported or spotted, and routine requests are typically done within three working days. Those are targets rather than guarantees, and we do not run a 24/7 service.
