Why choose WordPress for my website?
Because it makes regular updates easy for whoever needs to make them: you, your staff or someone you work with. It is the platform most people and developers already know. The trade-off is upkeep: it needs regular updates, which we take care of.
Can I edit the site myself?
Yes, you and your team can. We build with Elementor, so you can change pages and layouts, not just the words, and add projects, posts and new pages. Most clients still send the bigger changes to us, and that is fine too. If you would like a hand learning how, we guide you through it.
Will you still look after it once it is live?
Yes, that is how we work. Most of our clients have been with us for years after launch. We keep the site updated, backed up and secure, and make the changes you would rather not.
How much does a WordPress website cost?
Every build is quoted once we know what you need. Most start from £1,500, which includes your first year of hosting and maintenance. If it helps, you can spread the cost over 12 monthly payments, with no interest and nothing extra to pay.
What happens after the first year?
You choose. Most clients carry on with one of our WordPress care plans, so we keep the site updated, backed up and secure. You do not have to, and it is never a condition of the build.
Do I have to keep WordPress updated myself?
No. While the site is with us, updates, backups and security are our job. You only need to log in when you want to change something.
Do you use a theme?
Your design is made for you from scratch, not bought off the shelf. We build it with Elementor, a page builder that lets you edit the layout yourself.
How long does it take?
Most sites take four to eight weeks once everything is agreed. What slows a build down is usually content and photos, so the more of that you have ready, the faster it goes.
Can you replace my current website?
Yes, whether it is an old WordPress site, Wix, Squarespace or something else. We move your old pages across to their new addresses, so links and bookmarks to the old site keep working.
Will I be tied to you?
No. It is a standard WordPress site, so any WordPress developer can work on it.
Do you build online shops?
No. It is not what we do best, and we would rather point you to someone who does it properly.
